Tonight, 14th june, "The White Night" of Bilbao

Night will start at eight thirty in the afternoon and offer "light shows and color for all audiences". The bilbaínos and anyone who comes to the village will enjoy this because they´ll become "the protagonists of exception". 


The Museum of Fine Arts, the Basque Museum, the Maritime Museum, the Guggenheim Museum, the University of Deusto, Santiago Cathedral, the Palace Olabarri, AlhondigaBilbao, Arriaga Theater and the Foral Palace are going to host the 'White Night'. 



Patrice Warrener, the Italian company 'De Cagna Iluminaire' Logela Multimedia, the Aether & Hemera English company and creative studio 'Nueveojos' have designed their creations for tonight. Along with this, the streets of Bilbao will become the stage on which groups will parade street entertainment. 

Planned activities include some as the five rituals of Japanese culture that develop in different galleries of the Museum of Fine Arts (at 20.30 and 2.00 hours), coinciding with the exhibition "Japanese art and Japonisme" featuring the gallery, where the public can see first hand what the ceremony Kimono, tea can taste, learn calligraphy with ink and brush, make Origami (paper folding) or make Ikebana (flower arranging). 

Other acts scheduled to be the poetry reading, on the poet Federico García Lorca, Ángela Molina offer accompanied by two musicians (guitar and percussion) in the Basque Museum at 20.30, 22.00, 23.30; or concerts by the Symphony Orchestra Accordions Bilbao Euskeria Choir and the Choir of the Conservatory of the Choral Society of Bilbao and San Antonio de Coral Iralabarri, to be offered from 20.30 in the Portico of the Cathedral Santiago.
