Are you sweet tooth?

All regions have their sweets and also Bizkaia has. I present you four sweetmeat that you can only eat in Bizkaia, and one of those only in Bilbao: Bilbainito, Carolina, Rice Cake (Pastel de arroz) and Butter Bun (Bollo de mantequilla).

Do you like sugar?

BILBAINITO
It is a chocolate truffle with eyes, mouth, nose and beret.You can only buy them at Artagan Pastisseries. 

CAROLINA
Legend says that Carolina was created more than half a century ago by a baker of Bilbao to delight his daughter called Carolina. Ingredients: meringue, sugar, chocolate...

 
RICE CAKE (pastel de arroz)
Despite its name, it doesn´t made with rice or rice flour. It´s not too sweet. I love it!!

BUTTER BUN (bollo de mantequilla)
It´s curious, I know a lot of people from Bizkaia who lives away. When they lived here they didn´t love this bun, moreover they didn´t buy it. Now, they have become addicted and when they come to visit THEY HAVE TO EAT BUTTER BUN. The best butter buns makes Martina de Zuricalday Pastry.
